Powerful Work Trucks With Powerful Extras!
Chevrolet Dealership Sarasota is carrying some of the best work trucks out there. The Chevrolet Silverado HD comes with two engine options, the Vortec 6.0 liter gas-powered V8 that can create 360 horsepower or the Duramax 6.6 liter V8 turbo-diesel engine that generates 397 horsepower. Both engines come standard with two-wheel drive, however, four-wheel drive is an option for a little extra money. The Silverado HD comes in two models. There is the 2500 HD and the 3500 HD. The both come with WT, LT, LTZ trims. The 3500 HD, however, comes with a Big Dooley trim which adds dual rear wheels which increase traction and towing power.
The 2011 Silverado HD, which can also be found at Florida Chevy Dealers, have gotten some changes for this year. They have improved the drivetrain, braking system, the engines and Chevy did some minor changes to the exterior. Chevy has added a stronger frame and suspension components under these trucks. Some of the standard features on both models are air conditioning, an adjustable steering wheel along with AM/FM radio. Bluetooth or a CD player with MP3 playback can be added as an upgrade or with a package.
Chevy has also equipped the Silverado HD with a pretty cut and dry protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a powertrain warranty for five years or 100,000 miles. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the federal government do not crash test vehicles that are listed as “work trucks”, however that does not mean they don’t come with many safety features. Both models come standard with daytime electronic stability control, trailer sway control and hill start assist. You can also have Rear Parking Assist and fog lamps added for more money. Side curtain airbags are available but do not come standard on any model.
While looking for some pros and cons on the Silverado HD, I found on Edmunds.com that people enjoy the impressive hauling and towing capabilities, it’s refined and quiet ride, that it has a solid build along with responsive steering and comfortable seats. Some of things that people did not care for was the awkward driving position and the cabin storage. That really isn’t that bad in my book. If you are wanting a great work truck that has a lot of power and many, many extras, then this is the one for you. Take a ride to your local dealership and test drive each model. I am sure one will have everything that you are looking for and wanting.

Chevy Colorado; The Truck With Options!
The 2011 Chevrolet Colorado, which can be purchased at your local Florida Chevrolet Dealer, is ranked one of Chevy’s best trucks. It comes with several engine options. The first one is the base engine which is a 2.9 liter four cylinder that can generate up to 185 horsepower. The second engine is a 3.7 liter five cylinder engine that generate up to 242 horsepower and the last option is the top of the line V8 which generates 300 horsepower. A four speed automatic transmission comes standard with the V8 and five cylinder engines, while a five speed manual comes with the four cylinder engine.
Chevy has equipped the Colorado with a pretty cut and dry protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warra
nty along with five years or 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. The Colorado also comes with a long list of safety features as well. Front and side airbags come standard, not to mention four wheel anti-lock brakes with discs in front and drums in the rear and stability and traction control. This vehicle also did very well on crash tests too. The Crew Cab received five stars for driver and front passenger protection in frontal crash tests, three stars for driver protection in side crash tests and five stars for rear passenger protection. The Extended Cab received four stars for driver and front passenger protection and four stars fro driver protection in side impact crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Crew Cab it’s second highest ranking of “Acceptable” for front crash tests, but only earned a very low ranking of “Poor” for side impact crash tests. They did however earn a ranking of “Marginal” for roof strength tests. The Extended Cab received it’s highest ranking of “Good” in frontal crash tests.
Chevy has many vehicles to choose from and their trucks happen to be some of the best. The Colorado has many options you can choose from and pretty much build your own truck. Go to your local Chevrolet dealer and check out the great line up they have. I am sure you won’t be disappointed in what you find.

2011 Suzuki Equator;
The 2011 Suzuki Equator is a strong competitor to the popular Chevrolet Avalanche and can be purchased at a local Suzuki dealership. This vehicle is considered to be one of the top compact pickups on the market, and it is low priced and high quality, similar to Daytona Condo rentals. The Equator is equipped with the latest technology and is one of the more fuel efficient vehicles available on the market. Compact pickups are gaining in popularity because they provide work ability while also offering fuel economy. Other fuel efficient compact pickups produced by Ford can be purchased at a Ford TN dealership.
Those who have reviewed the Equator enjoy it for its power and outdoors potential. It offers a good amount of interior space for a compact pickup as well, and it is easy to clean. However the interior space is not meant for more than a few people. The Equator is not the most fuel efficient compact pickup on the market, but it is still much more fuel efficient than a full size pickup. The engine is not the best, and competing automakers like Nissan and Toyota have higher quality and more advanced engine technology, but Suzuki has been catching up to its Japanese rival in recent years.
Essentially the Suzuki Equator is a rebadged Nissan Frontier, as both models are produced side by side in the same factory, so if you’re looking for an alternative, the Frontier might not be a great choice as it is very similar to the Equator. The main difference between the two is that the Frontier has a better warranty and there might also be more deals available for the Frontier compared to the Equator depending on the region that a person lives in. However a real alternative to both of these models is the Toyota Tacoma which features slightly better fuel economy.

2011 Ford F-150 Review;
The 2011 Ford F-150 is one of the top full size pickups on the market and this model can be purchased from Ford Dealers Texas. The F-150 is similar to the Chevy Silverado which is found at Tysons Corner Chevrolet Dealers and other local Chevy dealers. The Ford F-150 features the latest in Ford technology and offers a high quality build design, great towing and hauling power, and also a comfortable interior. Other models with comfortable interiors like the Chevy Silverado can be seen at a Columbia Chevrolet Dealership.
The Ford F-150 is also one of the safest pickup models on the market and features Ford’s award winning safety technology. The Ford F-150 is also available with several powertrain choices, and Ford’s latest engineering can be seen with the latest Ford engines. The F-150 gets two new V6 engines that are both powerful and fuel efficient, and Ford has placed a new emphasis on fuel economy with it’s latest pickup and other vehicle models. The F-150 is no exception to this and it is one of the leaders in fuel economy along with other Ford models. However for those owners who need more performance there is also a V8 option available, although many have been picking the more fuel efficient V6.
Ford announced that the EcoBoost V6 engine option was gaining in popularity in recent months on this model, and the EcoBoost engine is one of the most fuel efficient engines available on any pickup vehicle. The Ford F-150 is a fuel efficient vehicle but there are also alternatives like the Chevy Silverado Hybrid and the Dodge Ram. The Ram has a better quality interior and was redesigned to be better for the 2011 model year. The Ram is also a bit less expensive at the start price, with a start price of $1,000 less than the F-150.

Best compact pickups;
There are a number of great compact pickups on the market and compact pickups are gaining in popularity such as the Toyota Tacoma which is sold at a Toyota Dealership Salisbury and other dealerships. The competition in this segment is not as great as others, so there are fewer great choices to select from, unlike the mid and full sized pickup segments. The Ford Ranger is not considered to be one of the top Ford models but is still a good compact pickup choice, and higher quality pickups like the Ford F-150 can be purchased from a TX Ford Dealership. Other great Ford pickup models can be purchased from a Ford Dealer Auburn.
The 2011 Nissan Frontier is considered to be one of the best compact pickups on the market. This model is a fuel efficient but powerful compact pickup. It has good safety features and it is also one of the most reliable pickups as well. It offers high quality performance and comfort which is rare to find in a compact pickup. The Frontier comes with a power V6 option as well as a tough chassis that can tow large payloads. The interior materials are not the highest quality but there are features available like Bluetooth and an iPod interface.
The Frontier is not the most comfortable pickup to drive long journeys in, but it is a budget friendly and fuel efficient model. Other comparable models include the Suzuki Equator and the Toyota Tacoma, both of which are very similar to the Frontier. The Tacoma is available at a lower starting price than the Frontier. The Tacoma has a nicer interior as well which gives it an advantage over the Frontier. The upper trim levels are a bit more expensive than competing models. There are also two engines available as well as bed sizes and three cab styles, which offers a bit of customizability.

Trucks continue to be popular vehicle choices in Texas;
In spite of rising gas prices, pickup trucks like the new Chevrolet Avalanche have been increasing in popularity, which is an unexpected trend. Many people have held onto their less fuel efficient vehicles at least in Texas even though gas prices have risen in many areas. Chevy and other brands have been popular pickup choices in recent months, and Chevy pickups can be repaired at a Chevy service Sarasota. Other models which have also been popular include the Ford F-150 which can be purchased from Albany Ford Dealers.
In Abilene, Texas pickup trucks are more popular than in other regions of the country. Three full size pickups are sold for every compact and subcompact in the city, based on car registration data, and it seems that Texans will not be giving up their pickup trucks for less fuel efficient vehicles, at least at the moment. There has been an increase of people looking to trade in their pickups for more fuel efficient vehicles however. 60 percent of trade-ins in Abilene involve trading in less fuel efficient models like SUVs and trucks for more fuel efficient models, and the percentage has risen over the past few months.
Depending on the region of the country, there may be fewer trade ins of pickup models. The reason why Abilene and other Texas cities have had fewer pickup trade-ins is because pickup trucks are needed for work in Texas. There have been people trading in less fuel efficient vehicles throughout the United States including Texas, but some parts of the country require less fuel efficient vehicles for work, so it may be a while before these areas see higher trade-ins for fuel efficient vehicles. There are also options available for more fuel efficient pickup trucks such as hybrid pickup trucks, and there may even be more electric models available like the Ford Transit Connect and others.

Ford Get’s Edgy With MyFord!
Reading Ford Dealership is now carrying the all new, 2011 Ford Edge. It comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that creates 285 horsepower. It is paired with a six speed automatic transmission. Ford is going to add a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine to it’s lineup some time this year.
Like the Nissan Rogue, which can be found at Washington Nissan Dealership, the Edge comes with a pretty cut and dry protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. The 2011 model has yet to be tested, but the 2010 model, which can be purchased at San Antonio Ford Dealer, did very well. It received five stars for protecting occupants in all outboard seating positions in side impact crash tests, five stars for driver protection in frontal crash tests and four stars for passenger protection. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2010 model it’s highest ranking of “Good” in frontal, side-impact and rear crash protection.
The Edge also comes with many safety features and new technology. Some of them include; dual-stage front airbags, front seat mounted side impact airbags and side curtain airbags. It also comes standard with four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes and Advance Trac with Roll Stability Control. Power side view blind spot mirrors help the driver see while moving through traffic. An SOS Post Crash Alert System flashes the hazard
lights and sounds the horn in the event of an accident.
There is also a new Blind Spot Information System in the Edge. This system alerts the driver with an indicator light when a vehicle is detected entering the “blind spot zone”. It also has a cross traffic alert feature which uses blind spot monitoring sensors to audibly and visually alert the driver to approaching traffic while they are backing out of a parking spot or driveway. MyFord Touch interface replaces the traditional button controls with touchscreens and a five-way controller. It includes touch sensitive sliders for the stereo volume and fan speed.
Ford has gone out of it’s way to equip this vehicle with all it’s new safety and technology features. Go to your local Ford dealership and test drive one. If you don’t happen to like the Edge, I’m positive Ford will have something that suits all your needs.

Who Doesn’t Wanna Save?
Let’s assume that you have decided to purchase a performance exhaust system for your truck from Columbia GMC Dealer. Let’s also assume that you already know the benefits of putting a high-performance exhaust system on your truck or SUV from Nissan Dealership Worcester: better gas mileage, more horsepower and torque, and a louder, high-performance sound. These high-performance exhaust systems give you all of those benefits by providing less restriction and making it easier for your motor to send it’s exhaust gases through the exhaust system of your truck from Nissan Dealer Washington.
And just a side note, the following phrases all mean the same thing: cat-back exhaust, high-performance exhaust, high-flow exhaust system, performance exhaust, free-flowing exhaust, aftermarket exhaust, and custom exhaust.
So, now that you already know the benefits of a high-flowing exhaust system, let’s talk about the different styles or the different configurations for cat-back exhaust systems.
Single Side Exit
This type of aftermarket exhaust system uses one pipe to vent the exhaust gases from your motor and away from your truck or SUV. Typically, these have an exit location (where the end of the pipe is) just behind the rear, passenger-side wheel. These also generally cost less than a system with two exhaust pipes. Surprisingly, these single pipe systems tend to produce more power than most dual systems.
Dual Side Exit
This style of custom exhaust system is quite similar to the Single Side Exit, but uses two pipes to exit the exhaust gases from your truck or SUV instead of one. This means that your engine has less restriction and generally has quicker throttle response. It also lends itself to producing a louder, more aggressive exhaust tone.
Dual Rear Exit
This configuration of high-flow exhaust system uses two pipes to vent the exhaust gases from your motor. This unique design differs from the previous two because the pipes exit out the rear of the vehicle, just under the bumper or roll pan. This free-flowing style of exhaust system has all of the benefits of the Dual Side Exit exhaust but can be perceived as louder because the sound is directed out the rear of your vehicle, directly at the traffic behind you. Depending on how aggressive your driving habits are, this can either be a good thing, or a bad thing. One side note: you may not be interested in this exhaust system if you are towing any kind of trailer because the exhaust gases can leave soot on whatever you’re towing.
Extreme Dual Exit or Opposite Side Dual
This style of cat-back exhaust uses two pipes to exit the exhaust gases from your motor but differs from the Dual Rear Exit. The Extreme Dual Exit has one pipe exiting behind each rear tire. This free-flowing exhaust system has all of the same benefits of the other dual systems, but unlike the Dual Rear Exit, it won’t leave soot on your trailer.

A Trucks Most Essential Accessories!
There you are, driving along the highway in your 4X4 when you glance off to the side only to see an oh-so-inviting muddy logging trail. “Can’t pass this one up”, you say to yourself, as you tug on the steering wheel and head off to 4-Wheeler’s heaven. Next thing you know, you’re using your cell phone (if it works out in no-man’s land) to call a tow truck to get your truck to automotive transmission repair Bradenton. What happened? In the excitement of the moment, did you forget you still had highway tires on your Chevy Avalanche prices? Oops!
Most light trucks, like the one’s at Kansas City Ford, come equipped with All Purpose tires, which are fine for everyday driving. But if you’re an off road enthusiast, you’ll want to take the time to find the tire that’s perfect for your off road adventures. And there are plenty of options.
ALL-SEASON TIRES. These tires are adequate for driving in all four seasons. Most carry an M/S designation (Mud/Snow) but are really meant only for light snow. They don’t have the proper rubber compound for cold weather, nor the open tread block pattern for the traction provided by a snow tire.
ALL-TERRAIN TIRES. These tires are a compromise for those who use their truck for general daily driving with only occasional off-road use. Surprisingly, they are designed with added grip for “all terrain”, dirt, sand, wet surfaces, light snow and light mud. But they are also good for general highway use and are relatively quiet on pavement. If you’re going to be driving in heavy snow or thick mud, however, you need to move on to a tire designed with that purpose in mind.
SNOW TIRES. If you drive in light snow sporadically, you don’t necessarily need snow tires–all-season tires should do the trick. But if you live in a severe-weather climate (or do a lot of driving in heavy snow), snow tires are for you. Snow tires have an open tread block pattern for better traction and should be narrower. More importantly, they are manufactured with a rubber compound that is more flexible in cold weather. The colder the climate, the less suitable your all-season tire becomes.
STUDDED SNOW TIRES. These are for icy winter conditions. They are “studded” (have metal posts embedded in them), allowing for up to 40% better traction in hard-packed snow and ice than an all-season tire. The downside, however, is the increased noise level as well as the fact that traction is decreased on dry and wet surfaces. Beyond that, due to the fact that they tend to “chew up” the pavement, many regions have either banned them all together or restricted their use to certain months of the year.
WINTER TIRES. Winter tires provide better traction in snowy and icy conditions. Their tread patterns and tread compounds are specifically designed for winter conditions. These tires perform better not only in snow, but also in slush and rain. And they’re generally quieter than the snow tire. Look for the snowflake/mountain symbol which means they are certified to have met specific snow traction requirements.
MUD TIRES. If you’re mud bogging, you need wide tires with large lugs. The lugs should have deep voids in between to expel the mud, allowing for better traction at each rotation. These tires, however, are generally loud on the highway, although you may find some exceptions. Mud tires are also good for rock climbing, sand and unpacked snow but do not perform well in icy conditions or in rain.
Two additional points to keep in mind … don’t try to cut corners by changing out only two tires. All four tires, whether they are snow tires or mud tires, should be the same. Two just won’t do. And while the above list does not include any particular brand recommendations, the quickest, most reliable way to choose a good tire brand is to talk to other off road enthusiasts and find out what they’re using in your area.
So there you have it. Tires are the most important truck accessory. Always make sure you have the right tires for the right job and you’ll never have to embarrass yourself by calling a friend to come tow you out of an ugly mess.

Every Man Needs A Truck!
There are a few things in life that I’m quite sure of. I guess I have learned along the way and become convinced about more things as I’ve gotten older. For example, I am convinced that work is a normal and important part of life. Twenty years ago I thought I could somehow be the first person to make it through life without working. I’ve also realized that relationships are harder than anything else in life, but they are also the most valuable. My early years were about anything but relationships. Being married for the past fifteen years has only increased my learning curve about the things I’m sure of. I have always thought that men were different than women, but it took getting married for me to really be sure that they are. I’ve also become quite sure that every man needs a truck whether it’s a Toyota from Salisbury Toyota Dealership or a Ford from Minnesota Ford Dealership.
I remember hearing things growing up about how every man needs a truck to own and drive, but I never really believed it was true. I believed that men said they needed a truck just so that they would have an excuse to actually buy a truck and drive one from AL Ford Dealers. I’ve been around a lot of men in the past couple of decades and I’m quite sure that there is something actually tied between being a man and having a truck.
A truck has become the symbol of masculinity to me, for better or for worse. I feel a little weird anytime I see a woman driving a truck around town. I immediately feel like she must just be borrowing her husband’s truck for the day, but then I immediately wonder why she would want to do that. I, for example, have never had the desire to own a truck or even to drive a truck. My husband has owned a truck since before we were married and so I have had my fair share of time in a truck and I still don’t see the appeal. I simply see that my husband comes alive when he gets in his truck, cleans his truck, or starts talking about his truck with anyone who will listen. His truck has truly become his favorite possession and his pride and joy.
So women, let the men in your life get a truck. It will help them feel like a man. And men, if you’ve always been longing for a truck but haven’t had the guts to make the purchase, let today be the day. Any size and kind of truck will do, just get one and start enjoying the fact that every man needs a truck.
